RhexId(Trypanblue)
Trypan blue ophthalmic solution is a dye used in ophthalmic surgery, primarily in cataract surgery, to stain the anterior lens capsule. This staining helps surgeons visualize the capsule more clearly, particularly when red reflex is poor or the pupil is constricted. It also improves the visibility of Descemet's membrane during surgery. o prepare a Trypan Blue solution, typically a 0.4% solution, dissolve 0.4 grams of Trypan Blue powder in 100 mL of Phosphate Buffered Saline (PBS). For a more diluted working solution, further dilute the stock solution in 0.85% NaCl.
